Environmental Responsibility
UTair pursues a policy of environmental responsibility for all of its operations in strict compliance with all relevant Federal environmental safety regulations and standards. Environmental awareness is also an important component of UTair’s ongoing effort to improve efficiency in the utilization of natural resources.

While performing operations and fulfilling contracts abroad, UTair observes the appropriate local environmental legislation. UTair is fully in tune with local and global environmental issues and trends related to the air transport industry and associated businesses and takes a proactive stance in regard to organizational preparedness to adopt and comply with changing environmental requirements and recommendations.

UTair monitors all operations affecting the environment. The UTair Group maintains continuous monitoring for fuel efficiency, hazardous emissions levels and noise. This data is submitted to systematic analysis with the aim of improving the environmental soundness of the company’s activities.

One of the primary means UTair employs to reduce hazardous emissions and noise pollution is its program of upgrades to the aircraft fleet. Here the priority is given to the most fuel efficient aircraft models and those that have the lowest noise and emissions impacts. The French made ATR-42 short-range turboprop planes were the first aircraft to satisfy these requirements and be added to the UTair fleet.
