Human Resource Dynamics
Responsible, qualified employees are the vital assets and a critical source of competitive advantage for UTair Aviation. Attracting and retaining the best personnel are the key principles at the foundation of our human resource policy.

Along with the traditional hiring function of selecting highly-qualified employees, one of the most important tasks of our personnel policy today is the cultivation of capable and goal-oriented graduates from universities and specialized civil aviation institutes for employment in the UTair Group of companies. UTair Aviation sponsors a work-study program for high potential students in cooperation with specialized educational facilities in Vyborg, St. Petersburg, Uyanovsk, Buguruslan, Troitsk, Tyumen and Omsk. Eligible participants of the program are given practical work experience and training in the different areas of company operations, increasing their entry level job opportunities giving the company access to the best and the brightest Russia has to offer.

In 2006, more than 50 students were hired by the UTair Group companies. These young top graduates from flight schools and aviation and engineering colleges received intensive on-the-job training as part of the UTair program and by the end of the reporting period all 50 specialists had earned good positions throughout the Company on their own merit. During the reporting year, an active search for highly-qualified flight operations and engineering specialists allowed the Company to build new flight groups and expand existing flight groups, particularly the aviation crews and line technical maintenance stations in Ufa, Nizhni Novgorod, Syktyvkar and Moscow.
