Responding to the requests of clients, UTair Aviation conducts continuous aerial photo and video surveys of a variety of facilities and geographic phenomena for cartographic purposes and other needs of various sectors. These operations are performed using multi-purpose helicopters, most commonly the versatile and fuel efficient Mi-8T.
The Mi-8T helicopter is also used for monitoring the condition of oil and gas pipelines. Aerial monitoring is among one of the many services UTair renders to numerous gas and oil producing companies and refineries in long term contracts. The Mi-8T cabin is a comfortable size and has retractable seats inside which supports both passenger transport and light cargo operations, such as delivering leak detection and maintenance professionals and their equipment to points along the pipeline. The external –sling system facilitates the transport of larger cargoes such as pipe sections and other equipment.
