According to orders coming from its clients, UTair Aviation constantly performs aerial photo and video surveys of various facilities and areas for map making and other needs of various sectors, using all-purpose helicopters. The most expedient in economic characteristics for these purposes is the relatively cheap multi-purpose Mi-8T helicopter.

This helicopter is also successfully used for monitoring the state of gas and oil pipelines. Such services are rendered within long-term contracts with various gas and oil producing companies and refineries. The size of the Mi-8T cabin and the presence of folding seats along the internal sides of the cabin provide for simultaneous transportation of a Customer team and equipment necessary for detecting leaks of gas or oil and for transporting large-size cargoes in the external sling system.
